Hospice of Northeast Missouri, a service of Hannibal Regional, is offering a six-week grief support group for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one.
Topics include: understanding the grief process; personal loss history and its impact on the grief process; distinguishing between grief and mourning, dealing with insensitive people; grief’s impact on a family system; self-care and observing special occasions. Group facilitators are Carrol Davenport, Spiritual Care and Bereavement Coordinator and John Bambrick, Chaplain and Social Worker.
Time: 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Dates: March 24 & 31, April 7, 14, 21, 28 (Mondays)
