Mission – Hospice of Northeast Missouri provides compassionate physical, spiritual, and emotional end-of-life care.
Hospice of Northeast Missouri began as Hospice 2000, a volunteer organization formed to address the community need for end-of-life care. As the organization developed, it became evident the need surpassed the initial 30-miles radius service area. This prompted the Kirksville community and A.T. Still University to secure funding through a Rural Health Outreach grant that allowed Hospice to increase their coverage area. Currently the Hospice coverage area includes Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Macon, Putnam, Schuyler, Scotland, Sullivan, and Shelby counties in Missouri and serves an average of 200 patients per year.
On January 1, 2022, Hospice of Northeast Missouri’s Board of Directors made the decision to partner with Hannibal Regional Healthcare System to assist in providing expanded resources and to ensure continued quality end of life care throughout Northeast Missouri.
Hospice of Northeast Missouri takes pride in providing comprehensive services as the only non-profit hospice agency serving Northeast Missouri.
